Tiling window managers have been around since the early days of graphical interfaces. Xerox PARC laid the groundwork in the 1980s, and even Windows 1.0 experimented with tiling before switching to overlapping windows.

In the Linux world, tiling never really left. It re-emerged in the early 2000s with tools like ratpoison and dwm, evolving into modern favorites like i3, bspwm, and Wayland-native Sway. For many users, especially developers and power users, tiling offers a more efficient, keyboard-driven workflow that stacking WMs just can't match.

I'm in #love with the #ActivityPub by far the best #feature to #PowerUsers in the #Fediverse.

It let me access to every #instance and #community of #Lemmy and #Kbin without the need of making a new #account. Just the one here in #Mastodon.

I can #post, make #comments, #reply them, add #posts into my #bookmark, and #follow #people from any other #SocialNetwork in the entire fediverse.

It just only need a small tweak in #UX / #UserExperience is a bit #annoying to make it #work.

For #Mastodon to get widely adopted (specifically if it wants to replace #Twitter), the steps between the landing page of #joinmastodon and account creation need to reduce.

We could write a weighted score algorithm that will assign a new user to a randomly chosen server based on server-loads. However, there will be an advanced option for #powerusers to choose their server. This way we can keep the load distributed across the different servers available in #fediverse.

He pasado casi una semana buscando, instalando y probando distros con diferentes entornos. La mayoría de las veces encontrándome con algun problema al final. Y cuando ya me estaba dando por vencida, diciéndome que efectivamente esto no es lo mío, me he decidido a probar #voidlinux.
Creo que no podría estar más contenta con el resultado, es una distro minimalista, potente e independiente. Caracterísitcas que pensaba estaban reservadas a las distros para #powerusers.
