Anybody know a decent, modern replacement for Tag&Rename?

It used to be our favourite tag editor, but development seemingly stopped back in 2018.

We're ideally looking for something that's:

• Cross-platform (at least Windows and Linux).
• Has a user-friendly UI.

It must:

• Have a dark mode option.
• Be compatible with modern tags, particularly lyrics ones, which we're apparently way out of date on 😅
  • We think the newer Vorbis tag is UNSYNCEDLYRICS, based on some downloaded FLAC files, versus the older LYRICS tag we're used to.

For context, we primarily use WACUP on desktop or Poweramp on Android.

Not sure if it's a thing, but if there's some kind of new option for synced lyrics that's compatible with both of the above, that would be amazing!

Ich höre leider viel zu selten am Smartphone Musik, um die pfiffige UI von #Poweramp richtig zu schätzen. Einfach an jeder Ecke vollgestopft mit Features, nach denen wir uns damals auf iPods die Hände geleckt hätten, und dann sogar noch eine richtig gute UX; die 3D-Visualisierungen – einfach woah! =)

I just found that RMPC and Poweramp (on my phone) allow you to define characters for how to split genres. So now you can have "epic doom metal // doom metal" to have it appear for both?

Oh, the rabbit hole...

Set up #Navidrome and #Symfonium yesterday. Absolutely loving it so far!

I was using #Poweramp previously (also very good), but now I can stream rather than having to move all the FLAC albums I want to listen to my phone.

Sto cercando una #app #android (preferibilmente #foss) per scaricare #podcast #offline sulla memoria del telefono per poi essere ascoltati da #poweramp (trovo i player integrati delle app inaffidabili, soprattutto se sono alla guida), quindi deve essere compatibile con i permessi di #Android14 (deve scaricare i file audio in una cartella scelta da me, che può essere letta anche da poweramp).

This is how you do update notes, rather than "we keep making improvements" or "stability update". Tracker formats? That's (literally) music for my ears. I guess the poweramp devs know that the userbase is composed of powerusers that need more than a basic media playing app.

I don't want to "influence" people, but this is one of the few purchasable apps I keep recommending year after year. One single payment, no subscription.

@ronald An Android app, #Poweramp uses #Milkdrop but not sure if it's this library.

Edit: Poweramp uses Milkdrop2.
