Third time was not the charm. Early January my paper was rejected by another journal. This one stung a bit. Unlike the last one, it didn’t include any reviewer comments. It took me a bit, but I have submitted to a 4th journal. For anyone that is curious, a preprint is available at osf.io/preprints/socarxiv/hb6r with the title Universal Basic Income and Value Realization: Metaphysical Insights for Implementation in the United States.

New physics preprint: The Entropic I-Field Theory

Proposes fundamental irreversibility through dissipative
field dynamics. Applications demonstrated in quantum
mechanics (objective collapse), thermodynamics (entropy
production), and cosmology (inflation to dark energy).

Numerical validation across multiple systems.

I would appreciate recommendations for a preprint server to submit preprints in computational intelligence / computational cognitive science.

I know about the following preprint servers and would appreciate opinions about their relative merits for that topic area, and links to any other relevant preprint servers.

* techrxiv.org/

* preprints.org/

* arxiv.org/
- The available fine-grained categories in Computer Science *might* not cover my topics (depending on how strictly the categories are interpreted).
- The submission formats *might* be incompatible with my writing workflow.

* osf.io/preprints/discover
- OSF Preprints is a network of community-run OSF-hosted preprint servers. The only vaguely relevant community server is PssyArXiv, and it isn't clear that my topics of interest are on-scope for PsyArXiv.

* zenodo.org/
- Appears to have no constraints on format or topic (which is probably positive for me).
- Is not indexed by Google Scholar. (I have views about Google. However, not being indexed by Google means that preprints on Zenodo are effectively invisible to many researchers.)

My newest #Prelights article highlights a #preprint by B. R. Baisla et al. (2025) and their search for morphological #prezygotic #barriers to reduce #hybridization among the species complex of #Nasonia, #parasitoid wasps. Male genital morphology apparently does not prevent hybridization, pre-mating #barriers are still unknown.

I created it for my social media channels to illustrate that there are barriers that can prevent hybridization between very closely related sprcies, barriers before a successful mating can happen (prezygotic barriers) and barriers after a successful mating can exists ( post mating barriers). RE: mastodon.social/@h4ckernews/11

A very interesting article on how LLMs might actually work. I am sceptic about the overextension of the work to cognitive sciences but the authors make a good point. I wonder what the actual cognitive scientists might say.

🚨 new #preprint online 🚨

Rapid evolution in response to changing environmental conditions is often considered beneficial, as it can help species to persist in changing environments. However, evolution can also be detrimental. 1st author Simon Leoz examines eco-evolutionary dynamics of competitive systems and finds a case of evolutionary murder, where rapid evolution of one species drives another one towards extinction.

📢 NEW WORK: "Origin of the constant B ≈ 0.486 in the distribution of prime numbers"

I study the Gaussian decay of a prime-related sum: S(s) ~ e^{-Bs²}. The constant B ≈ 0.486 emerges from three perspectives:

🔹 Arithmetic: B ≈ Σ 1/π(eⁿ) − 1
🔹 Spectral (under RH): B linked to zeros of ζ(s)
🔹 Geometric: the base e is optimal
