#CERN: Here's a #winwin proposal: #physicists keep smashing particles, and downtime compute power feeds a distributed #AI #LLM network freely accessible to any/everyone (kinda like #Zenodo is for research/data storage now).
Even better...a custom #model that lets me run natural #language queries on your data so I can prove the #infoton exists.
Seems a logical #evolution to me, the nascent backbone of which exists (see #IPVM, and distributed comp isn't new: #SETI)

De nos jours, on exige de plus en plus la disponibilité du code (et les données) qui a servi pour une recherche, pour pouvoir la reproduire.

Évidemment, c'est plus facile à dire qu'à faire. (Bibliothèques qui ont changé…) par exemple pour des raisons quantitatives (modèles de climat qui nécessitent des mois de calcul…)

How do I know? Well, some here might remember the wonderful image collection of Lego minifigures for research data management on Zenodo: https://zenodo.org/records/11147887 - the access is now restricted, and I asked for the reason. So, yes, you may use such images for non-commercial, educational purposes - with a note. Yet, be careful. I will certainly change my chapter cover slides.
My students always roll their eyes when I tell them to use Zenodo. I just hope it ages better than ... this bit.ly → Dropbox chain leading to a deleted file here in a scientific publication.
