#ReadwiseReader

my favorite #bookmarks software is now #linkding. i wanted to like the cli options (because agents) but i can still use them for that purpose (arguably more effective that way)

between linkding and #readwiseReader i haven't used pinboard except to search other user's bookmarks because it's a goldmine!

i use #Linkdy on iOS bookmarklet on iPad.

So far I’m liking #vivaldi. I’m still frustrated over #Pocket and the #Mozilla situation as I’d like to use a non #Chromium browser, but what’s with these tech companies run by non-profits that still seem to take a VC mindset. Still deciding if I want #raindropio or #readwisereader as my daily driver for read later

i like this idea a lot. i have been experimenting with using the kitchen iPad and an intel 27" iMac as a dash for the house. agendas, what is coming up, weather, etc.

an eink panel designed for this use case is appealing. i do have a #boox noteAir2 reader and notepad, but i can't find the right flow for annotations, so i end up using iPad more for reading than previously.

also #readwiseReader sucks on the Boox. performance is just terrible for app, browser too.

Wondering where to take refuge now — go back to or try out and ? 🤔

Any other suggestions for apps that work across and desktop?

Ugh! This is like and all over again. 😰

I’m doing a trail run of #readwisereader since #pocket is dead, and @ivory ‘s integration seems to be broken? None of the articles I’m trying to save are appearing in the reader app and I confirmed the aurthorization token

What I had hoped was: I buy the ebook, get the ePub file, can upload to on my devices, highlight the sucker as I see fit, and then easily be able to access all the highlights/notes from wherever.

i use the RSS/Atom feature in #ReadwiseReader myself and it's great.

Quick question for advanced #tapestryapp #tapestry by @Iconfactory users: I would like to open blog posts from RSS feeds in #ReadwiseReader as it is my preferred reading app and I use it to capture highlights.

Now, Reader does not pop up as app to open links from an RSS in Tapestry, so it seems like it does not support Universal Links or provides URL schemes to permalinks. However, can I achieve that with a Custom setup? I need to dig into the support site, but this is a bit over my head.

Just realize how awesome Readwise Reader is for YouTube videos. Instead of watching, I can read the cleaned-up transcript like an article - allowing me to skim (!!). If something seems interesting to watch I can just jump in at that point.

Just shipped v1!

Reade is a LaunchBar action to interact with the Readwise and Reader APIs. It can add highlights to Readwise, save URLs and text to Reader, and list Reader items.

Really been enjoying some of the new design flourishes made to in the past month. Among them a new header design for your saved items.

Still my favorite and most versatile read it later app. The king.

I really like filtering syntax in Readwise Reader. #ReadwiseReader #Readwise

Ok good people of Fediverse, #Matter or #ReadwiseReader? I like the elegance of Matter, but it feels like they don’t update enough, and some weird bugs happen, like resurfacing deleted articles. On the other side, Readwise Reader is fully customisable, and I like that, but there is also a lot of bloat, one example being Daily Digest right there in my app and I can’t hide it. Hey man, I already saved those articles for later, you don’t have to push them in my face.

i really get annoyed at sloppy stylesheets that render a page like half #darkmode half light with conflicting contrast and legibility problems. the #ReadwiseReader browser extension absolutely sucks at it too - try to highlight something on a white-on-black page and it's unreadable. i can't even hack a #userstyle together to un-fuck it reliably.

a really dumb way for an annotation to be made, right?

but #nvidia does equally stupid things too:

Everyone is low-vision at Nvidia, even the OCR feature can't read this shit!

Look:

```
- 0 x o LEARN " K3 ~ Application | ‘ P | et 26 b MK el 0L LIEY
```

so dumb.

@dotemacs @terry Would work great for the main service but for I would want to read my saved on my remarkable, with highlights being synced back as only the added bonus :)

@voxpelli @terry

You can manually make it do that:

- use rcu to export highlighted lines as text or markdown
- feed it into #readwiseReader
- done :)

I literally started playing around with #Omnivore a few days ago 😭 I was so excited to support a FOSS read later app and integrate it into my workflow.

I guess I don't have to choose between it and #ReadwiseReader anymore, but I really liked what I seen from Omnivore...man.

@terry I made a question both in the Mudita kickstarter and in the Readwise Discord about the two supporting one another

I’m so gutted that I can’t use my with and that Remarkable apparently isn’t willing to discuss support when has tried contacting them

The Remarkable is otherwise the smoothest experience I have had
