on the old stone wall that crumbles, veined
by the cracks from the hourglass’s flow.

The church roof sits on the arch
and the arch is on the pillars
and the pillars rest on
the foundation’s rubble filler
and the filler is bound
to the soil of this old Earth —
the source of our short life —
that which to us gave birth

behind the tall trees
revealed for a moment
by a sudden light breeze

wondering if the trees
will part for some time

Stürmische Nächte und dann kamen auch noch Schnee & Eis

Demletzt am Steinhuder Meer, ach ja, da dachten wir noch, es wäre windig. Bis dann die vergangene Woche zeigte, was Wind so alles drauf haben kann, denn es hat mich so manches Mal fast von der Laufstrecke gehauen. Das war unter der Woche, das Wochenende war zwar deutlich weniger windig, wusste dann aber zuerst mit Schnee und dann noch mit reichlich Frost und Glatteis aufzuwarten
