I don't know what/where the #murmurations on #scuttlebutt are at. I don't care much, and watching Dominic Tarr vids bores me, as much as I respect his contributions. In my mind the #nostr ecosystem at this point is like the dream of the original, with some details covered and extensibility.

@antonydbzh ben, si c'est sur son ordi, c'est un espace privé, pas géré en collectif, non ? Dans ce cas-là, je pense à #SSB #scuttlebutt et son principe de messages transmis de personne en personne, sans passer part un serveur central.
Et tes exemples d'espace public sont gérés par l'Etat ou les Collectivités Locales, donc en exemple numérique je pense aux plateformes de budget participatif, sur lesquels on peut s'exprimer mais sans fixer les règles (Rennes = https://fabriquecitoyenne.fr/projects?type=4 )

First they came for tiktok, but I was comfy on mastodon and so I didn't give a f**k. 🙄
Then they came for literally all the other so-called "social" media, but I was comfy on my federated timeline, so I didn't say anything.
Then they came hard at any network that wasn't state controlled. And I got out my copy of Patchwork to hang out on #scuttlebutt 🙈

Es gibt auch dezentrale, förderierte und offene Protokolle und eben dennoch e2e verschlüsselt.
Das was hier nun als Katastrophe betitelt, war doch eigentlich schon vor 20 Jahren längst Thema, und nur eine frage der Zeit.
Ich selbst habe in der gesamten Zeit an Kommerziellen Sozialmedia nur Signal genutzt, aber auch eher aus einer Kurzschluss Handlung heraus. Aber selbst hier nutze ich nicht die Original APP, und schon gar nicht auf einem Stock-Rom Gerät.
Nutzt alternativen und findet euch am besten damit ab das diejenigen welche nicht umsteigen wollen, auch nichts von euch wissen möchten.

There's a web app at that address and an app in F-Droid. Cool idea, but it's an early prototype, nothing about how to use it is obvious.

Their ethics team's response was to hear me out, then do nothing but watch while #Scuttlebutt community members monitored the situation.
Is anyone here on #scuttlebutt? What's the best social media for off-the-grid communication? I want to also explore intranet-only Fediverse networks. Nostr seems like a worse scuttlebutt.
Except that #Bluesky is the complete antithesis of #Scuttlebutt … centralized closed system.

It seems to me that #scuttlebutt is mostly dead. There is currently maintained client neither on #FDroid nor on #Flathub any more, and it doesn’t seem that they ever really resolved a problem of entering the community (all open #ssbroom are just long lists of UUIDs … enjoy!).
