A late afternoon photograph of a harbor. The foreground is the edge of a municipal dock. A green trash can is sitting by the edge, and a yellow “Life Ring” enclosure is mounted on a wooden piling. Docks and pilings with some boats hauled out are visible across the mouth of the cove, along with the back of letters reading “Wickford Shipyard”. Past that, and across the blue water of the harbor, old buildings and cranes from a defunct US Naval Air Station are visible near the old runways. Clouds are visible, darker by the horizon, climbing up the frame and getting lighter until about 2/3 of the way up, stopping in a fairly sharp line. A pale lie sky fills the very top of the frame.
