In the late 90s, Wikipedia for information was considered completely #unreliable, #unorthodox, and #unacceptable.
Now I find things in Wikipedia that are far beyond anything ever in #EncyclopediaBritannica. The #dataquality and #utility are high. I read it as a starting point, and then I read #sourcematerial when I need more detail.
What AI doesn’t provide YET is #references to its content. AI simply needs a good #editor.

I don't know why we are suprised that Hollywood doesn't respect the source material.
Lord of the Rings is of course a special case, since Amazon was very patiently waiting for the passing of Christopher Tolkien.
Last year Tom Clancy's Without Remorse become a generic action flick. Another adaption of "name only".
Especially since the main character in the book is a white Irish catholic. Then in the movie become a black person.
Why not just respect the source material, and if you want write your own story with your own character?
Because that takes work. It's always easier to destroy, than build something up.
