#funkwhale is weird... 😅
It's running, but in addition to the network storage problem that I still need to solve, it shows a strange quirk:
When I click on a song in the webUI, it only plays 2-3 seconds of it and then stops. If there are more songs in the queue, it plays the rest of them properly. If I skip to the first song again via the "previous" button, it plays it completely (but not if I click it in the playlist).

And none of that happens, if I music on my phone via the #subsonic API. 🤷‍♂️

So I set up navidrome and I’m assessing it as a replacement for Plex. I love the web access but there really isn’t anything as good as Plexamp for mobile.

Please share links to your favorite iOS navidrome or subsonic apps.

So far the best I found was the TestFlight for Narjo, but it still has some rough edges.

Tweaking the UI of my #Subsonic media player for #SailfishOS and @kde Plasma for large screens, and the @volla tablet is pretty big for a mobile device :)

@Krustinaut ich will nicht YouTube als Backend verwenden, sondern den privat gehosteten #navidrome Server. Der bietet die #subsonic api an. Müsste #Nextcloud auch können. Ca 50% der Lieder befinden sich schon in der privaten MP3 Sammlung, den Rest muss ich wohl noch von CDs Rippen oder kaufen.

Aber auf die CSV Datei als Link zwischen qr-Code und Lied greife ich gerne zurück, dann muss ich da nichts machen.

Gibt es hier mehr Fans des Spiel #Hitster?
Ich mag es sehr, finde aber doof dass es nur Spotify als backand nutzt.

Youtube mag ich als Backend aber auch nicht. Aber vielleicht nutze ich das als Grundlage um eine alternative Android-App zu Vibe-Coden mit dem der Titel vom ser selbst gehosteten Server via #SubSonic API abgespielt wird?

@zef not selfhosting but doing so is possible with this setup.

I edit all metadata in #MusicBrainz #Picard, upload those to a #cloudstorage of choice (for me @transIP #Stack) with structured folders (genre -> artist -> album), then connect to @astiga and listen using #Subsonic compatible #FOSS software (#Feishin and #Tempo in my case).

The selfhosted version would be to replace the cloud storage & Astiga with hosting an #OpenSubsonic, #Jellyfin, or @ampache server yourself.
