The same sunflower exactly two weeks ago. It has grown about 2 ft since then, but has another foot or so to go before it reaches the height of the white-washed walling (which would make it around 7 ft tall).

Another opened today. Soon I won't be around to look after them. I hope someone will keep them watered!

It's almost zinnia time!

Other than stakes for the more vulnerable ones, all the hollyhocks survived yesterday's storm. They are so tall that it's difficult to get them in the frame.

The final picture is sunflower progress. I am 5ft/152cm for scale.

For the last two years I’ve done large flower beds in the front yard, and this year I’ve added a third bed. A row of Zinnias, a row of mixed “wildflowers” and a row of sunflowers. Zinnias were planted on the 1st and the other two beds on the 2nd, here is the progress so far! I started them a little late for our zone, but a little over a week ago we were still having lows in the 40s! I’m going to keep updating the progress on my TikTok, and I’ll try to post here during the season too!
