Our first Prusa arrived back in 2018, and the Mk3 is still going strong. πŸ’ͺ
A member spent hours giving it a proper overhaul and it’s back printing lovely parts again β€” a bit slower than newer machines, but we still love it.

Here it is printing a red Benchy using filament from RS. 🚀🧡

Some repairs do not happen in a timely manner πŸ˜…

This alarm clock from 1993 has a few broken buttons. It will take a couple of sessions to get to the bottom of it, but we will keep at it as it is a member’s favourite clock. πŸ”§β°

Amateur radio is a deadly hobby, you learn loads, meet great people, and that first contact feels like magic.

Big thanks to South Dublin Radio for hosting the 2m net and being so welcoming and encouraging.

Christmas miracle at TOG Hackerspace πŸŽ„πŸ“Ό

Ambrose brought a 1970s ITT Schaub-Lorenz tape recorder back to life. We opened it up and found a hair bobbin where a belt should be. Proper bodge, but we had the right belt and a Beatles mixtape to test it.

At TOG we’ve repaired a lot of stuff through our Repair CafΓ©s, but sometimes repair is as simple as darning a favourite pair of socks from Inisheer instead of throwing them out.

We wrote a short post about repair culture, textile waste and giving those socks a second chance:
