My attempts to use a new Contabo VPS with IPv6 failed via SSH and browser, unlike IPv4 which worked. The issue was definitely with IPv6. I cancelled the subscription. Subsequent orders' costs kept rising, which I refuse to pay. I'll keep my old VPS despite its shortcomings, and I am reluctant to order another Contabo VPS.

I'm still hoping for a decent Hungarian AI-based TTS whenever a book comes up that I want to read. It's frustrating that even with all the tech advances, the best speech engines are basically the same as in 2006. Professional narrators reading non-fiction, making text and audio alignment less tedious and less resource-intense training could really help with this. Hi everyone! How are you all doing tonight? I just had a frustrating experience trying to set up a free #domain or #subdomain for my #SelfHosted services. Unfortunately, I can't use my laniecarmelo.tech domain because its current configuration doesn't allow me to add subdomains.
I discovered EU.org, which offers free domains, and decided to give it a try. However, they require you to have authoritative #DNS #nameservers before requesting a domain. I tried using #Cloudflare, but it wasn't authoritative. Then I looked into Hostry.com, Hurricane Electric DNS, and FreeDNS.
Hostry requires you to add DNS records for your domain before using their service—but how can I do that when my domain doesn’t exist yet? 🤦♀️ As for FreeDNS and Hurricane Electric, both have inaccessible #CAPTCHAs on their registration forms with no audio alternatives! 😡
At this point, I'm so frustrated that I've decided to take a break from figuring this out. If anyone has tips for setting up a free domain or knows of accessible DNS services, I’d really appreciate your advice! 🙏

Did Apple quietly remove DVD and BluRay burning from Compressor with no notice?
The feature was there in version 4.7, gone in 4.8, and still missing in 4.9—and it wasn’t mentioned at all in the 4.8 release notes. On top of that, the Compressor website still claims the feature is supported. I’ve had to roll back to 4.7 just to get this back. Frustrating when a PAID feature is dropped with zero acknowledgment.

I remember the times when registering an app on Google Play took 1 minute. Today, you have to upload your passport, fill out a billion forms, wait for moderation from a few days to several weeks, and don’t forget to periodically log into the damn panel and check if those bastards have come up with something new.
