As much as I like the Nothing Phones, I can't get over the fact they still have USB2. In this day and age. I have a 2(a) Plus, and I like the camera arrangement on it as well as the 3(a). Even the new Motorola Edge that is the migration path for the ThinkPhone line (RIP) lacks high speed USB. You're supposed to use Bluetooth and wireless displays.

I use USBC display out on my ThinkPhone weekly, maybe even every other day. It's just so handy. Seriously debating on picking up a lapdock because I use it so much.

Looking ahead at when the time comes to replace my ThinkPhone, it will be a requirement to have display out / desktop mode like I have now.

Maybe this is how they move to get rid of another port so they can eavesdrop via this method as well? It's already rare to see a headphone jack.

Well, three tries to get a front glass replacement for my #thinkphone and no one has the correct glass here in the US. My display isn't cracked, just the top glass. Guess it's time to try my luck with overseas.

Finally, I no longer have to press the arrow (enter) after inputting my code into my ThinkPhone (stock ROM). Motorola has finally removed that requirement in this latest security update.

Seriously. It's lame how there are no magsafe/magnetic cases for my #thinkphone 2023 even with it having wireless charging. There are really only like 5-10 case options overall for it. My Nothing phone 2a plus has a ton of case options, many with magsafe and it does not have wireless charging, but I can use it with other accessories. What is wrong in this world.

@inderix my middle of the road #thinkphone docks via USB-C and I have a full desktop that I use way more than I thought I would. I actually missed it when I tested Linux on this phone.

Sending in my iPhone 12 mini this week for some repairs so I can use it while I prove out Droidian on my ThinkPhone. Can't wait to get out from these 2 big mobile OSes.

It's been a year since I switched full time to my #ThinkPhone and while I like it, I really do miss all my MagSafe stuff. Sure, I have a ring on my case, but it's not the same. It doesn't charge the same. It gets hotter than my iPhone 12 mini did.

Yeah, I'm aware of the Qi2 stuff coming out. That standard is over 2 years old, and is 10 or 15W when everything's moved past that now. Very few Android or other phones actually have it- what is it, one phone has actually shipped with it?

@kevinctofel I'm currently running a #ThinkPhone with Android on it- switched from an iPhone 12 mini. I should be soon flashing #Droidian over to the ThinkPhone.

I'll be using a Garmin watch to replace my Apple Watch, as they also support tap-to-pay/NFC payments.

I am so happy to see the #thinkphone as a target for #droidian. I missed the 99 release in Sept where they said they were hoping it'd be in official soon!

Really bummed to see all these nice cases coming out for the #thinkphone25 and the phone itself isn't coming stateside.

The selection for the original #thinkphone is really limited and of those, none are anywhere near as nice as some of those coming out for the newer, lesser specc'd phone.

I just want a nice leather case for my phone of choice.

@lenovous please put the speakers used in the 700 ultraportable speaker into a laptop or phone. They're really good and should be used elsewhere.

We need a #selfhosted device/prefs syncing service for Linux that syncs trusted devices.

An example is how Apple AirPods pair with my iPhone, but also then work with my Mac, iPad, and AppleTVs with the same account.

It would be nice to pair my Bose headphones with my #ThinkPhone / #Android, then have them just work with my #ThinkPad / #Fedora, tablet, or #HomeAssistant devices.

Sure would be nice if Lenovo made a lapdock for the #thinkphone. It'd be nice to have that #ThinkPad keyboard. I know I can use the ThinkPad Keyboard and the ThinkPad USB-C display- but an all in one unit with a battery built in may be enough to get me to sell my T480 given my #homelab stack.

I feel the #thinkphone was more color accurate with this photo, as the sky was more pink and not just yellow like the Pixel 8 portrayed.

Its weird, as the ThinkPhone usually shows up grainy in my photos and I never feel it's as good as my iPhone 12 mini was.
