So sad to hear of the passing of artist Tom Phillips. He was one of life's true intellectuals that wore his wisdom lightly and had a fantastic sense of humour that put people instantly at ease. In a world full of pretension he was the real deal. But like all creators, his work in the visual arts and music will remain as the document of a life lived well. The product of an enquiring mind that never stopped absorbing information and offering inspiration to so many others.
Favourite book artist. Which means, of course, favourite artist. Will forever be grateful to Nancy Campbell for introducing me to his work, and him, just over a decade ago.
