Having a big clear out I found this LED light strip off an old light box, a disposable vape battery a switch and a boost board turned it into a neat long thin torch. While shooting and editing this self portrait, I had the following lyrics from the song "My Love will Never Die" stuck in my head, which resulted in a much darker feeling image than my regular work - and also the inspiration for my image title:

"Go on, go on
Go bravely on
Into the blackest night
Hold my breath
'Til your return
My love will never die"

I definitely seem to draw a lot of inspiration from the music I'm listening to while editing my images... I love how music effects our moods and can completely change the story we're trying to tell. Originally I was going to edit this as a much lighter, fairy-tale feeling image, but as I went on with this song in my head, the image became a story I strongly empathized with about walking bravely onward into the scary unknown areas of life... where my greatest hope is to keep my own love burning within and letting it shine its way out through kindness, guiding us through the blackest of any nights. In this current world, kindness seems to be the bravest action of all.

Within the transition between old and new, within a storm, a clone trooper with a torch helps guide Claudia closer and closer to the exit. While she can survive, more and more this trooper gets taken by the dust storm. And right as they get close, her begins to fade as he passes the torch to Claudia.

With me hitting 3 decades of life soon, I wanted to do something to, well, pay tribute to my first character. Mikaru was a Jedi/Jet Trooper, but as you can probably tell he's no longer a character I even have on my big spreadsheet. But, the first step is always important. So, I drew Claudia who is at this point the big pillar in my lore and have Mikaru pass the torch. I tried to do something different with the shading on Claudia, matching the dusty flow. In the end, this is probably one of the last milestone pieces I wanted to do before the next birthday, and an apperciation of what has come before.

You can see several butterfly shaped clusters emerge over the video. I think that means that some of the meaning from the training data was successfully imbued into motionnet, as SDXL was only invoked on frame 1. I wonder what will happen when trained on a bigger video corpus and when the SDXL piece of the pipeline is fleshed out!
