A bag full of collard greens, cilantro, borage, holy basil, sage, oregano & some tulsi plants.
A container filled with lamb kebabs, fish tagine, roasted eggplant salad, roasted zucchinis & flatbread.
Everything at the event was free 😀💞

I absolutely love #Chinese #pickled #MustardGreens. Ever since being introduced to them as a toddler, it's been a fave cultural pickled food that I loved to eat.
I eat them as snacks & also cook with them. You can buy jars of it from Chinatown or most Asian food stores or you can make your own:

My Friday is better now. Just got my big gift jar of homemade #kimchi from my client's sweet daughter 😀 Mom's going to love this too - she loves kimchi! We make our own too but everyone makes a different style.

This is their longtime #Korean family's style & it's just the right amount of spicy & tangy 👍 Excellent on it's own or as snack toppers or added to soups & other dishes.
The jar is big enough to last us for a couple of months!

You can eat this, but it does have a weird texture and is usually described as "survival food", i.e., you would eat it to survive, but only if you didn't have anything else.

It's not bad at all pan fried on the side of my pine tip pilaf, but that is a bit of propane.

It's recommended for soups and stews, so I'll update tomorrow--putting a bit in my anasazi beans.

I'm also running out of kale tomorrow so any sort of greens are going to be yum yum; maybe it's an acquired taste like the bitter greens I was eating in Flagstaff last year because no money.

I'm going to be one hell of a healthy old fart if I keep on eating all these medicinals, lol. 😂

In Island wird Roggenbrot auf ungewöhnliche Weise gebacken: der Teig wird in Töpfen vergraben und von der Erdwärme gegart. Nach vielen Stunden im heißen Boden entsteht ein dunkles, saftiges Brot mit süßlichem Geschmack, das mich fast schon an Kuchen erinnert.
