Unionists across the United States are organizing a campaign to get fellow trade unionists, elected officials, and others to sign a letter to President Biden demanding he remove Cuba from the U.S. list of "State Sponsors of Terrorism."

“On October 30th, for the 32nd consecutive year, the #UnitedNations General Assembly overwhelmingly condemned the U.S. embargo on #Cuba. Once again, the global community stood in near-unanimous solidarity with the #Cuban people, recognizing that this decades-long policy is not only cruel and dated but also in direct violation of international law."

Northern Ireland is changing quicker than most people thought it would. Also, the #Unionists can't quite come to terms with how much they are out of step with society here.

If anyone argues with that, I will direct you to last week #NI election - Sinn Fein are the largest party at the Assembly & local government. AND - they have the largest numbers of cllrs on Belfast City Council, once dominated by Unionism.

It is time for some uncomfortable truths for Unionism - they aren't appealing to the leafy wealthy areas of #NI anymore. Sinn Fein did if you look at where they gained seats last week - eg Balmoral! Plus some Unionists who voted must have given a transfer to them.

So what does that tell them about their current path? Unionism isn't coming out to vote & moderate #Unionists are voting for #Alliance in greater numbers. Why Jeff? #NIpolitics

It's usually Tories I'm accusing of being bonkers, but Cole-Hamilton is right up there with the most bonkers of them.

- UNIONIST parties have refused to publish membership figures – despite past calls for “transparency” from their opponents.

Scottish Labour, the Scottish Conservatives and the Scottish LibDems all failed to say how many members they had when approached by The National. -
