Betweenness Centrality in Spatial Networks: Our latest publication is available online at doi.org/10.4230/LIPIcs.GIScien.

We analysed how #spatial density of nodes influences betweenness #centrality and provide a generic method for mitigating these effects. #SpatialCentrality

Looking forward to presenting and discussing our findings next Wednesday at #GIScience2023 conference.

Enjoyable first day at the Turing #UrbanAnalytics #conference in Liverpool (Virtually). Often online attendance can feel disconnected from conferences, but today I felt so engaged with the presentations and discussions between presenters and panellists. Looking forward to day two. #PhDlife #PhD #geography #engaged #LightningTalks #KeyNotes #Panel

Informative differentiation between green infrastructure and green space by Dr Wenjing Zhang. A great insight into #GroundsWell and data implementation for mapping urban green and blue spaces (UGBS) at the Turing #UrbanAnalytics #conference.

I may be biased being a PhD student alongside GroundsWell, however #UGBS can significantly benefit physical and mental well-being, alongside environmental and biodiversity benefits. Essential research for public health! @urbangreenbluespaces #GeoHealth #PhD

Interesting presentation by Professor @alexsingleton at the Turing #UrbanAnalytics conference in Liverpool. My main takeaway was the promising insight for the academic process of writing and publishing #books. I have been keen to write a book prior to my academic journey and the urge has returned (post PhD study of course - I have a thesis to write instead). #academia #research #conference #KeyNotes #LightningTalks #OnlineAttendee @phdstudents @phdlife

Change of plan to online attendance for me at the #Turing #UrbanAnalytics conference today in #Liverpool. I did not wish to provide potential #COVID19 to the scientific community. Enjoy today to all attending in person. #GDSL #research #PhDStudents #PhDlife #PhD #geography @phdstudents @phdlife

Looking forward to attending the #UrbanAnalytics conference tomorrow in Liverpool. This will be my second conference to attend since joining the Geographic Data Science Lab in as a PhD student and I am extremely excited.

Any other Mastodon users attending? #conference #geography #PhD #research #PhDStudents @phdlife @phdstudents

Tomorrow the who-is-who in #UrbanAnalytics will descend over Liverpool to discuss all things cities+data+analytics (w/ a bit of @geography of course! Official info at turing.ac.uk/events/ua-20-ineq). If this is your first visit (or want to explore new places!), I've compiled a map of three places I love for three staples many like (☕ 🍻 🍰 ):
