Die #Umbenennung der #WWU Münster wurde nun vom Landesministerium für Kultur und Wissenschaft endgültig genehmigt und wird damit planmäßig zum Beginn des Wintersemesters gültig. Dem Wilhelm werde ich nicht nachtrauern, aber Universität Münster ist doch eigentlich bloß ein 08/15-Name. Man hätte vielleicht doch etwas länger über alternative Namensvorschläge diskutieren sollen, auch wenn es zugegebenermaßen schwierig ist einen Namen zu finden, der auf eine wirklich breite Zustimmung stößt.

I am a postdoc at #wwu University of #Münster pretending to know something about #microbialgenomics 🧫 . In my PhD I did research on #zoonotic pathogens 🐷 🐣 . More recently, I am trying to learn #metagenomics :rstats: 🧬 .
Currently, I am also administrator of miGenomeSurv, a platform to harmonize genomic #surveillance in Germany https://www.migenomesurv.org.
