I got a funny computer with a Geode CPU. The goal is to use it as a retro DOS machine. Cost me ~5 euro :)
It has soldered flash and Windows CE installed. There are some options to hack it to run custom binary. Lot of legacy protocols.
I hope to get something from it.

I could setup a build environment to compile code and produce binaries for #WindowsCE with #GCC under #Linux.
I wish I had known about #CEGCC 15 years ago when I started development for the #WinCE platform.
Before 2015 there were still some places in the industry where you could find this antique OS.
Now I have flashbacks about this time.
CE apps were hard to program and maintain.
But hey ... challenges can be fun too. 😉
Does anyone have information on these things? Motorola WT4090. I'm looking for OS binaries and the software for customizing and flashing. I have the SDK and have been able to upload apps. They are wrist computers running WinCE 5.0 on an 520MHz XScale with 128MB of ram and flash. They were used in logistics, and were paired with barcode scanners.
They're out of warranty so I am unable to download the data from Zebra. Thank you for your help!

O-Ha! #OpenSSL has published an update release v1.1.1u some days ago too.
Old OpenSSL is the only library I can use to support antique platforms like #WinXP or #WinCE with their native compilers without additional patches.
Support for 1.1.1 will be dropped this year, and for all new stuff I already use #libreSSL.
I saw a macro named OPENSSL_SYS_UEFI during review for the first time. So they already have pure #UEFI builds somewhere.
How could I have missed that so long?

I realized that the new version 1.11 of #libssh2 was published 2 weeks ago: https://www.libssh2.org/
For v1.10 I commited some patches regarding #UWP, #WinCE and #BSD locally.
Some of those patches are obsolete now, but I guess I will find issues when I start builds for old target platforms.
The only disadvantage of crypto-libs is: They are complex and always need some extra attentions.
But I love them ❤️, because it's fun to write your own #SSH client by just a few lines of code.
