M$ přiznal, že Explorer stojí za prd, tak jej urychlí tím, že jej bude přednadčítat do paměti, místo toho aby optimalizace kódu, asi je to už šílená slátanina.
No, FUJ.... přitom je bezplatná konkurence, která jej předčí.

Windows 11 Tip. All of a sudden, my computer worked properly, but when I hit windows key + T, to go to the taskbar, I just landed on a start button and it said taskbar unavailable. This confused me, I had no idea what happened to the taskbar, and no idea how to get it back. Luckily Gemini helped me out, and my taskbar is back and everything is good again! So just in case this happens to anyone else, I thought I would share what I did to get it back. It seems that sometimes Windows Explorer clitches and this is one thing that can happen. To hopefully fix it, 1, hit control + shift + escape to bring up the task manager. 2, You should be on the processes tab and land in a list of all of the processes. Hit the end key to jump to the end of the list, then arrow up to Windows Explorer. 3, hit shift F10 for the context menu. 4, find Restart in the menu and hit enter. 5, This will totally restart Windows Explorer and all it controls, which one is the taskbar. @JoergA @sigmasternchen Yes, I know #TotalCommander (I even bought it and had to pay customs because you can't cancel the delivery of a physical disk despite downloading it 😬).

But sometimes two windows aren't enough and tabs make things much clearer. Sure, the TC also has bookmarks, but some things are quicker and easier with #WindowsExplorer, so I use both tools depending on the task.

Is that a new Windows 11 enhancement or, are you just happy to see me?

Falls #Microsoft mit #Recall dann auch nach Fehlern (z.B. im #WindowsExplorer) sucht, wäre das doch tatsächlich positiv.

(Ich arbeite an einem neu aufgesetzten Windows 11 in einer VM. Das Kopieren von vielen kleinen Dateien ist unsäglich langsam. Das Adressfeld des Windows Explorer klappt immer wieder auf, obwohl es nicht sollte.)

Is there any FOSS #FileManager for Windows 10 that isn't super slow and unreliable, has double panels and tabs?

I've tried #Files, #Spacedrive and #DoubleCommander but each of them either can't do basic operations without crashing or requiring me to wait a few seconds.

I thought switching from HDD to M.2 SSD will help - I did not.

#WindowsExplorer sucks - no dual view, no tabs... But all other options fig. make me want to punch the screen.

For anyone having high RAM usage with Explorer, does it make it better if you turn on launch folder windows in a separate process and reboot? For me, this has made it much better. On my AMD Mini PC with 32 gb RAM, Explorer is only using about 35 mb of RAM. #Windows #Explorer #WindowsExplorer
