One hosta, dug up, placed in wheelbarrow, moved, divided, and replanted yesterday. That's why it's #silentsunday today.

Finally a little color . . .
I’ve made a lot of gardening mistakes this spring. I want it too badly. I’ve planted things way too early. I’m wondering if gardeners in 1930’s Germany made the same mistakes. #gardening #zone7 #fascism
I’m new to zone 7. Climate change (shakes fist at sky)! Also the zone is different than the last frost. The zone only applies to what can survive winter.
I’ve been having words with Burpee on this this point. I think I’m going to break up with them. 💔 Capitalism + Plants =

Hard freeze tonight.

But just in case, we are eating
elsewhere tonight
Gotta love #NewEngland
35° F / 2°C tonight
Pulling less hardy seedlings
To bask on dining room table
Was: Sunny and 70°F in SW #Connecticut
Now: 40°F grey skies and wind warnings
Never change.
Pictured: skinny and hairy dark bee(?) out and about on the snowdrops
Finally #BloomScrolling
live and real time
They spent the night on the dining room table bc of frost warnings, but the kale babies and lettuce seedlings are back out in sunny cold frame.
These were sown indoors in mid February
While the ones in plastic were sown outside at same time. If I manage space correctly, I can get jump start on cool season crops in #Zone7 #Connecticut
Finally Friday
#Gardening people
Got water barrels out of storage
And leveled . . .

Hello #Gardening in #NewEngland
50° F weather here in #Zone7
First day of garden chores done
Pruned 3 roses closest to house
Warmest spot in the garden
Can feel it in my knees.
And wee spot in lower back
Birds singing the whole time!
Here is a picture of baby kale seedlings
(Still indoors)
Snapdragon seedlings in front
Kale babies to the rear &
Actual "Baby" Radicchio in back left
