Got annoyed at #AcrobatReader now having an "AI Assistent" button together with suggestions when entering search queries and tried to find a way to disable it. Well, at least on Windows it's possible using a registry change: in the following key
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\FeatureLockDown\ (at least on my system it already existed) add a new DWord value bEnableGentech with value 0 and restart the reader.
Don't know if there is a similar way for other platforms... 😔

...damnit, #AcrobatReader is _such_ a piece of crap nowadays.

It's been declining for years, constantly triggering "out of memory" errors when I opened up multiple PDFs at the same time. But I've reached my limit when it crashed multiple times when I tried to search a very simple three-page PDF - while displaying an " #AI Assistant" bar that I didn't ask for and cannot seem to switch off.

I've now installed SumatraPDF . #Adobe is not worth the aggravation.

Why does the save location in #AcrobatReader always default to "C:\Windows\System32", a folder in which (I hope) it doesn't have the elevated permissions required to save anything?

Welche Intelligenzbestie ist bei #Adobe eigentlich auf diese wirklich großartigste Idee aller Ideen gekommen, im #AcrobatReader das Inhaltsverzeichnis nun rechts statt links und die Tools nun links statt rechts anzuzeigen? Meine Güte, was bin ich froh, dass Adobe keine Autos baut, sonst wäre morgen das Lenkrad auf einmal rechts oder der Fahrersitz hinten.

なんか #adobe が #AcrobatReader をまた改悪したようで、左上にメニューが毎回出てくるし（設定に閉じるものが追加されたか未確認）、微妙にランダムに宣伝が出てくるようになってますね。ほんと🤬

ob man dauerhaft diese "Alle Tools" Leiste im neuen #acrobatreader abschalten kann,
daß die nicht bei jedem Start kommt, sondern nur wenn ich auf einen Menüpunkt clicke?

Die lenkt zu sehr ab, wenn ich oft PDF Rechnungen/Porto/.. zum Ausdrucken öffne.
