This walk on #Anglesey is possibly a good walk for hot weather as much of it is through trees with a chance to cool off on a fantastic beach. LLanddwyn Island, from where there are great views of the mountains of Snowdon is a short way off. Details at happyhiker.co.uk/MyWalks/Angle

11 May 'inspiration for one of your settings'

When I was young I lived in Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch

My mother's home town (though I speak utterly minimal Welsh)

I spent 3 years on Anglesey and regularly visited Bull Bay near Amlwch

The copper in comes from Amlwch (Mynydd Parys) and is discussed in Book1

I have already written some Book2 material which includes Bull Bay and the Marquess of Anglesey

Sourced from Wikipedia.

4.	Llanfair PG
5.	Puffin Island

Scott knows Anglesey well.

He moved there when he was 6 and left when he was 8.

He has been up the Marqeuss's Column many times.

Actually, Scott knows a lot of the North Wales coast, and it’s the setting for many sections of the novel. The pirates from Boot (Bootle) will risk travelling as far as Anglesey.

Chapter 10 (it was Chapter 3 last time he mentioned it) is entitled “The Battle of Puffin Island”

We visited Pen-yr-orsedd standing stones in #Anglesey to mark #beltane. No naked frolicking or drum banging this year, just #respect for the changing seasons and the blazing sun. #pagan #travel

Pen-yr-orsedd standing Stones in Anglesey. Three obelisk like stones in a triangle shape facing toward each other at a slightly acute angle. Green field, hedge, blue sky.

I can't get over the incredible beauty of #Anglesey #travel

Sea cliffs, but unreal and turquoise sea with caves

I've spoken to this man locally and thought he suffered from PTSD after tours in various places, including Kosovo.

I wondered why he ended up in a little Anglesey village. Was there something behind it?

Yesterday, we found this man had far more troubles that I imagined. There are questions to ask about authorities moving criminals and social undesirables around to what are perceived as 'far-flung' and 'remote' places in Wales.

December 2023 Daily Mail article about David Mottishead, an ex-soldier, who conducted a "hate war" against a feminist lawyer. At the time, Mottishead was reported as living in Machynlleth, mid-Wales.David Mottishead, photographed outside court in 2023. (Via Daily Mail).Daily Post report of Mottishead, now living in Bodffordd, Anglesey, being accused of threatening to stab a guard at RAF Valley. Mottishead was noted locally as living in a run-down former shop in the village, promoting concerns as to how he came to be here, and who placed him there in the knowledge of his past conduct.

The beautiful railway water tower at Holyhead. Its history has been neglected by pretty much everyone and it does not appear on the historical environment record.

Irish Ferries' 'Isle of Inisheer' arrives at Holyhead this afternoon.
