Three episodes into Bee and Puppycat, and it feels like Sanrio meets Katamari Damacy, with some Hanazuki thrown in for good measure. The music also reminds me of another series, but I can't place which one...

Also, Puppycat speaking in unintelligible Vocaloid was unexpected. Almost sounds like random Luka syllables.

I love #beeAndPuppyCat. It is a delightfully surreal and funny series, but remains mysterious and grand after a second viewing

So I just finished watching #BeeAndPuppyCat the other day.... Wow that show was bizarre. It kinda doesnt have a plot? What is tehre of a plot isnt exactly centered. Its just very random and whacky.

I really like it though? Like its not super deep plot wise, but I like the amount of curve balls it throws at the viewer, it kind of forces you to just "go with it".

I'm sad I got through all the episodes :(

I was Bee from #BeeAndPuppycat. I drank a random potion from an old apothecary that made me phase through time and space at random. I ended up in the 1940s where I made friends with a detective and participated in a decades-long sting operation to catch a murderer. After my friend died in the 1990s I returned home to where my past self had just arrived/[B&PC spoilers] and put myself in suspended animation until my past self drank the potion again. Tempbot knew but nobody else did.

5. Bee looks at the bell.

6. Bee puts the bottle down on the counter, along with Puppycat.

Bee: Thank you, Puppyca—

7. Puppycat swipes the bottle off the counter.

Bee: —AAAAAAAH!

8. In temp space, the bottlecap appears in front of Tempbot

I've been reading through the ebook versions of the 11 #BeeAndPuppyCat #comics that originally came out between 2014 and 2016, and overall they were cute!

All except the last three took an anthology approach, with several 5-8 page strips in each issue, which, well, we like that format here :raves:

The weird thing is that they were all about the titular characters, rather than the many secondary characters in the animated series. I'd have loved a headline Bee comic, then a Wizard family, then a Cardamom, or something like that. The whole thing seemed like a missed opportunity to expand the world a lot.

I guess all of them being produced before Lazy In Space was commissioned, perhaps the independent writers had their hands tied as to how far they could push the world- and character building.

I think they would get along

I've started reading the #BeeAndPuppyCat comics, which are way shorter than I imagined but also very cute.

The second one is the music box issue and it had a novel way of communicating the music in the boxes… unfortunately the youtube videos the QR codes linked to have been taken down since publication 😭
