Also this was the image I was trying to upload the other day of the sock I've been darning
Darning socks with a Speedweve loom
I love this little device. The weave is tight and long-lasting. Colours are fun to play with, and it's a good activity for fidgety hands.
Original "Speed Weve" darner was released in the thrifty 1940s:

Now sold by Alexon Ver, from Ukraine (www.etsy.com/shop/Alexonver)
I didn't want to deal with customs, so ordered from a Canadian shop (TheGreenThimble.ca).
I darned the holes with the honeycomb stitch. I did each of the three by its own starting with the lowest one. I used all purpose darning yarn.
It was a bit tedious because I used a small needle and a thin yarn. The first two rows are very important. I darned these on the still intact fabric. The biggest hole took almost three hours to darn. It didn’t lays as flat as I wanted.
Let’s see how it holds up.
Mildly interesting: my socks always fail on the big toe on the right foot (which is a size larger than the left one).
Would you like to know how to do honeycomb darning? Well, I made a little video.
Tried different colors, accidentally made a cursed eye

Got some #mending done today after work; patched up an old swimsuit and used my #darning egg for the first time on a pair of socks. :catjam: The second pair of socks was too threadbare to darn, so I cut out a piece of scrap fabric roughly the same shape as the sole and whip-stitched it on. It's not pretty, but it's functional. No pictures due to ugliness, but I plan to wear the latter pair of socks tomorrow and I will report back on how they felt/held up
I found my foot-shaped darning egg and am, as predicted, full of glee. I’ve included a photo of it inside a sock heel with my hand gripping it, so you can see the idea. This sock doesn’t need darning, but if it did, the wooden form inside it would help support the sock and also keep me from accidentally sewing through two layers while darning.
Edit to add some more alt text I’d meant to put in before.

My pajamas had worn out and developed a hole, so I mended it with some stitching 🧵🪡. This time, the hole was quite big, so I patched it with a fabric scrap and added an iron-on patch.
Next, I’ll decorate the patch with an appliqué!
パジャマが擦り切れて穴ができたので塞ぎました🧵🪡 今回は大きい穴だったのでハギレで補修した後、アイロンパッチをしました
これからパッチの上にアップリケをします🤗
