OK check this out. First I am a disabled/retired so practically speaking every hour of the day is #happyhour.

Next, i took a nap and awoke about five minutes ago SOO #happywakeandbake. Finally its only 13:00 here but having attended basic geography classes a few hundred years ago, I know if I get in a boat in Las Vegas, I can row 3 timezones away and enjoy a very heartfelt #happy420.

@corgidad Competing with that was a bar on the west side of town that had four-for-one. And this was during the day. One time a couple of friends asked me to go with them to this. I was not interested in the drinking, but I went with them. It saddened me to watch them order their third round of four drinks before the "happy hour" ended. Plus they could have three of mine. I left.

@corgidad And the Wednesday mornings. You're thinking hangover, but no, not for me. But walking into town you would encounter more than one splat of puke on the sidewalk. Was that all, enough? No.

On those Tuesday nights. exiting the bar there would often be loud emotional screams, yelling, rants, or crying over re-pairing that took place in the course of the evening. People you knew.

Then there was a bar in the center of town that had three-for-ones.

@corgidad Five decades ago, or more (to start, I don't know when it ended), there was happy hour. And there were two-for-ones. In the off-season, at the most popular place in Ptown, every Tuesday night it was two-for-one. On Wednesday night on the other side of town, the next most popular place had two-for-one. One year my birthday was on a Wednesday so we went there, but mostly I remember the Tuesday nights. ...
