This most recent notebook I've dedicated to "Things I Detest" a la Nabokov, who cheerily shares some of what he detests in a 1965 interview at around the 17:56 mark.
When he lists different types of music (inflicted music, next-room music, portable music), I never related to anything so much in my life.
And I thought . . . well, you don't have a to be a literary genius to compile a notebook of things that you detest.
And I've done this before -- as a highly sensitive person, it's cathartic to write about that which causes discomfort.
But I'll probably also start a notebook listing things that I love.
So far, my list includes "appliances that beep," "when it rains, but not enough to justify an umbrella," and "being in-between books."
