#Fosstodon users - if you step outside fosstodon - have a bit of a bad reputation in fediverse for being typical techy-know-it-alls lacking social skills. I'm not saying that's true, but it's true it's a perception/experience.
I recognise the arguments for going #inviteOnly are complex, but closing the borders seems to imply some level of satisfaction with the group itself.
Are we the best versions of ourselves here? Do we have enough representation to help us grow in a healthy direction?
I'm realizing I need a "second home base" in the Fediverse, just in case this #Meta thing gets real. The only problem is I can't figure out how to get into the cool #instances I've seen (they're closed entirely or #InviteOnly ).

Last month we started talking about helping make Invite Only instances more visible. And I agree that it's a good idea.
I'd love for us to be able to move forward with this, both to make it easier to find what you're looking for on services like https://instances.social, and display the instances focused on anti-harassment for their users, as well.
