Uznanie iPhone’a 6 Plus za model „vintage” na całym świecie oznacza, że sklepy Apple i autoryzowani dostawcy usług serwisowych nie mogą już oferować napraw dla tego urządzenia. Apple wycofało iPhone’a 6 Plus ze sprzedaży we wrześniu 2016 roku.

Pogięty problem polskich serwisów

Jeśli chodzi iPada mini 4. generacji, to również minęło ponad pięć lat, odkąd firma zaprzestała sprzedaży tego urządzenia.

Co ciekawe, Apple dodało również iPhone’a 8 i iPhone’a 8 Plus do swojej listy przestarzałych produktów, ale tylko w kolorze (PRODUCT)RED. Urządzenia pozostały dostępne w innych kolorach przez dłuższy czas, więc te kolory nie są jeszcze uznawane za takowe.

Lista produktów „vintage” zawiera urządzenia, które Apple przestało sprzedawać ponad pięć lat temu. Apple zapewnia serwis i części do starych urządzeń przez okres do 7 lat lub zgodnie z wymogami prawa danego państwa, ale naprawy zależą od dostępności części na całym świecie.
