Hochkant-Schwarzweißaufnahme einer städtischen Szene: Vor einer Reihe steinerner, mit zerfledderten Postern beklebter Säulen geht eine Person entlang, deren Bewegung durch die lange Verschlusszeit verwischt ist. Während ihr linkes Bein stabil zu ruhen scheint, schnellt ihr rechtes unscharf nach vorn. Auch der Oberkörper und der Kopf sind so verschwommen, dass man nicht einmal erkennen kann, ob es sich um eine Frau oder einen Mann handelt. Gen linken Bildrand strebt der Fußgänger, und am rechten steht eine Straßenlaterne, an die ein Fahrrad gekettet ist, von welchem nur die hintere Hälfte zu sehen ist. Insgesamt wirkt die Szene düster und zeugt von Verfallenheit und Trübsal.

Derselbe Bildausschnitt des gleichen Motivs. Offenbar handelt es sich um das Vorgängerfoto des anderen Fotos, da dieses den vorherigen Schritt der Person zeigt. Diesmal steht das linke Bein nicht vorn, sondern hinten und verharrt nicht, sondern hebt sich bereits leicht, um zum nächsten Schritt auszuholen. Auch diesmal ist der Rest der Person völlig verschwommen.
