Top-down modded Morrowind lets you experience Vvardenfell like it's Baldur's Gate
It's my first time on the mainland, in Old Ebonheart. No idea what I'll be doing, but I've escaped Vivec in frustration (I'll never be able to steal those scrolls!!!) looking for something to distract me, and gain some experience. I'm a low level member of the Mages Guild and House Hlaalu.
I'd like a house somewhere, not that I can afford one right now.
After my first proper glimpse of TR I'm very impressed with what they've done so far.

The progression is slowed by the mods, and everything feels incredibly dangerous for a tired lvl1 ex prisoner just sent to die in the sewers by some rich diplomat. I just wanted to free some slave and do some shopping TnT
In Tamriel Rebuilt there is shoeless boots for betmer. But mean and elves car wear them too, so you can hang around barefoot with full armor. Just looking at you, little guy in the back. Full armor. Barefoot. #OpenMW #TamrielRebuilt
I have shaders that makes me see colors differently depending on my health, fatigue and even magicka. It gives some physical sense of magic, it's awesome.

It’s just the start. I play a Chimer "Poet", basically does anything necessary to live, writes on his adventures. That means I’m already both a tax collector and a thief. Prison makes criminals, they say.

Everyone's talking about an Oblivion remaster, and running Oblivion in Proton, and why there is no Morrowind remake yet.
And all the real Morrowind homies are playing OpenMW.

Rumours have been around for quite a while from different directions, so maybe? It's hard to say, some #TES rumours have become big but turned out to be nothing. Guess that's the fate of a popular franchise.
As for TES Renewal's #Skyblivion, I think Bethesda knows about them and has stated to be good with it in some way, as long as the original game is required. Similar to #OpenMW. Knowing that, It'll be extra shitty changing that now after all this work.
