#immich is an selfhosted solution for photo and video management, similar to Google Photos. Although it is in very active development, it already features many advanced features, such as face recognition or memories, which show you a photo that was taken on that day years ago.
It is advised that you do NOT use Immich as your only backup for valuable photos. Active development means that updates can introduce breaking changes, which can in the worst scenario lead to data loss.

Edit your PDFs directly in #libreoffice writer.
When exporting a text document to PDF, tick the "Hybrid PDF" option. This will create a PDF that also contains the .odt file inside. This allows you to either open the PDF in any document viewer as a PDF or in a text editor as an .odt file without any formatting loss. Try it for yourself and never lose the source file to a PDF!

Many people use NewPipe or LibreTube on their phones to enhance privacy. But what about youtube on desktop?
If you want to use youtube in web, i suggest https://invidious.io/ as an alternative front end. On most instances you can have an account to save your subscribers, history etc.
There is also https://freetubeapp.io, which works very similarly to NewPipe as you don't need any account. You simply import your subscribers and everything is stored locally.

Communication is one of the most important thing. If you need to communicate in a different language, it it sometimes difficult to find a good way of translating. Traditional dictionaries can't translate sentences and more modern solutions like Google Translate track you.
This is the reason why I love simplytranslate.org. It uses the Google Translate engine, but you don't have to sign in or even accept any cookies. This means they will never know, who is using it.
