I absolutely hate the direction that #Mozilla has taken with #Firefox. And I'm looking forward, with shivering anticipation, at the day I can be rid of it and install a #FOSS browser based on #Servo or similar.
Until then? It's Firefox or one of its forks, because I'll be damned before I use anything either Chromium-based or proprietary/closed source, like #Vivaldi

Whenever #Mozilla steps on its own dick (which is often), I see people recommending alternatives to #Firefox. And often that alternative is #Vivaldi.
Vivaldi is NOT a viable alternative to Firefox. Period.
If you care about the open web, or digital sovereignty, you should not be running a browser with a Google-controlled code base, nor should you be running a non-FOSS browser.
Do not trust proprietary browsers. Donate to projects like #Servo, which respect user freedom.

verso était un projet visant à faire de Servo un navigateur web à part entière. Servo prenant désormais directement cette direction il absorbe toute l'énergie disponible pour atteindre cet objectif et c'est une très bonne nouvelle.
La communauté ne s'éparpille plus et va droit au but !

@siltaer C'est mensonger de la part de Mozilla : on a plus confiance en eux ; par contre on est otage chez eux tellement les alternatives sont pires (même si comme tu dis, il y a #servo).
C'est le concept de la fenêtre d'Overton appliqué aux browsers en fait, ils glissent tous vers de la surveillance et de la monétisation des utilisateurs, Firefox juste un peu plus lentement que les autres.
