No, it isn't IMO.
It has a lot of tracking, and how can you trust them that you REALLY disable it from settings?
I personally LOVE #VivaldiBrowser as a #Chromium #browser, especially for its #privacy and #customizability. It works well and has interesting #resources_saving features.
It is also 95% #FOSS, which is a great advantage.

So far testing by @ct_Magazin / @heiseonline (and myseof later on) revealed only few #Apps not vulnerable to this specifics #Govware:

• #Firefox (uses @Mozilla / @mozilla_support / #Mozilla #NSS & has it's own #SSL certificate storage)
• @thunderbird (Mozilla NSS)
• @torproject / #TorBrowser (Mozilla NSS; custom certificates)
• #curl (uses @bagder #WolfSSL and manages it's own certs)

Anything else that uses the CryptoAPI is, espechally *all #Chromium-Forks (aka. All Browsers except Firefox, Tor Browser, #dillo, #LynxBrowser…)

#VivaldiBrowser Has a good #privacypolicy, is #European, and is 95% #FOSS. It removes the #googlecrap from the #Chromium code before using it in their #browser
Also, it lets adding blocking sources and tweaking them, which is a must-have since their ad blocking is no the greatest, THB.

It has an overall good balance between privacy and functionality, and this is why I believe it should be added in the list.

Installing Chromium on Ubuntu without Snap

Ubuntu 19.10 Eoan Ermine has replaced the Chromium package that used the traditional Debian packaging with the wrapper package that installs the snap version of Chromium. This was first done with Chromium 75 that landed to this version of Ubuntu, starting with chromium-browser version 75.0.3770.80-0ubuntu1~snap1 first released on June 12th, 2019.

The Ubuntu packaging for the Chromium browser still uses Snap to this day with the wrapper package currently being at version 2:1snap1-0ubuntu3.

However, this has left no official option for users to install Chromium without the Snap package also being installed. If you prefer to install Chromium without Snap, please follow the below instructions:

1. Open the terminal emulator
2. Execute the below commands:
   • sudo add-apt-repository ppa:xtradeb/apps
   • sudo apt update (only execute if add-apt-repository doesn’t automatically update the package database)
3. Install Chromium
   • sudo apt install chromium (if you want plain Chromium)
   • sudo apt install ungoogled-chromium (if you want ungoogled Chromium)
4. Run Chromium from the application menu

Currently, Chromium in this PPA is only available for AMD64, ARM64, and armhf processors. This is ideal if you’re going to install Chromium without the extra overhead that Snap may bring.

Additionally, this approach works with Termux’s Ubuntu proot distro using the same method, as you can see above.

• The Harita Group, a major Indonesian conglomerate, persistently found high levels of the carcinogenic chemical chromium-6 in waters around its nickel mine, which opened in 2010.
• The conglomerate’s own internal tests showed chromium-6 levels regularly breaching Indonesian legal limits for a decade.
• Leaked emails show senior Harita executives were aware of the pollution since at least 2012.
• Residents in the area say they received no warnings about pollution, and the conglomerate has repeatedly stated that local water is safe to drink.
• Harita did not respond to repeated requests for comment. It has previously stated that its operations were in compliance with local environmental regulations, despite continuing internal reports of chromium-6 levels that exceeded legal limits. Harita also implemented a series of measures to control the pollution, including installing ponds to collect toxic runoff and carrying out chemical treatments.

Ответим на вопросы, что это за контейнеры, когда они могут быть полезны, сравним дизайн стандартизированных «плоских» контейнеров с дизайном плоских контейнеров из Boost и ETL и, конечно, произведём замеры и сравним производительность flat_ и не flat_ контейнеров.

Ran into a browser today that didn't short-circuit `&&`. I don't know what it is other than it seems to be some custom webview and we had to use an if-block to set a Boolean because the right side of the chained &&'s was an unsupported API access.

This is why I'm ok with there only being #Chromium browsers. I'm not a fan of 1 enterprise controlling the browser, but basic standards can't be a minefield for the #frontenddev
