#Chrome started 2025 strongly, with a borderline 70% in #browser #marketshare both on desktop and mobile. I looked at the numbers and since November 2023, there is a constant, unstoppable growth.
Meanwhile, #Firefox just loses users every single month. If we can believe #Statcounter, it peaked at 31.82%, in November 2009, and since then, it never recovered. Not even a bit. 15 years of failures after failures.
#Safari was at its best in May 2023 with 20.7%, but even with minor flops, it still can keep the 2nd place without any competition. Well, unless #MicrosoftEdge comes up, because it also gained some popularity. In September 2024, it was around 5.32%, but it still keeps its market share around 5%.
FIVE. PERCENT. Firefox can't even do that. People are so fed up with all of #Mozilla 's past mistakes that they would rather use Edge than trying to keep afloat a sinking ship. Imagine that! And you know what? Somehow, I can understand this.
About #VivaldiBrowser I don't have exact stats as it has to switch its user agent to make websites work, however Cloudflare reports 0.002% for Q3 2024. Well, that's not too much on its own, is it? It's salt in the wound that on iOS it uses WebKit, so there it contributes to Safari's numbers, too. It's not the company's fault, Apple is just that evil.
Interesting year so far. 🤔
