#Venezuela’s AG filed an arrest warrant Monday against #EdmundoGonzález, a 75-yr-old fmr diplomat, as part of an investigation into the opposition’s publication of vote tally sheets showing their candidate won >2X as many votes as #Maduro. The opposition published the receipts from >23k voting machines days after Venezuela’s electoral council claimed a victory by Maduro. Several independent reviews of the data…suggest Maduro likely lost the election by a landslide.

Sick sea lions are washing up on the shores of California with symptoms of poisoning, including seizures, foaming at the mouth, and neurological problems. The numbers have been increasing each year and scientists are saying it is linked to climate change. The higher water temperatures, fertilizer usage and sewer runoff have all been identified as contributing to explosive growth of this poisonous algae that the sea lions, and other marine mammals, have been in contact with. What more evidence do we need to show that this is a crisis and we need to make drastic changes to stop polluting our environment?

Today marks the anniversary of The American Indian Religious Freedom Act of 1978, which once again made it legal for Natives to practice our spiritual and cultural beliefs in the so called united states. They had been outlawed for 95 years by the Code of Indian Offences in 1883.

Don't normalize calling basic rights "privileges". Housing, healthcare, regular paying jobs, not living in war zones, having food and water, not being a target of hate crimes. That's the basic to survive! OPPRESSORS must pay their debt to society, not you, paid worker who can enjoy a takeout or a beer on the weekend once in a while. Your guilt will make you sad and hopeless, so you won't have the strenght to fight for "bread and roses".
