Ma décoration de bois en blanc jurant trop avec le reste, j'ai rajouté une teinture noire et remis une blanche sur le lettrage.
Le photo donne un effet de vieux bois de grange mais le résultat à l'oeil nu est plus foncé. Sans offense pour les vieilles granges de campagne là! 😘

En attendant un Distro de #Linux soit développé au 💙Québec💙 , il en existe quelques unes qui ont été développé au Canada dont notamment:
- #GhostBSD Conçu pour les développeurs et utilisateurs
- #AVLinux Avec une interface, un kernel modifié et des applications pour la création musicale entre autres.
- #Whoix qui est orienté sur Tor ergo, la sécurité et l'anonymat.
- #GrapheneOs Qui est essentiellement une version sans Google d'Android.

@starlabssystems Microsoft's attitude with Windows in the recent years totally helped me to ditch this OS but there's more than just that: I built some desktop PC for my friends and the time spent searching for the best parts possible for the budget made me realize that i could also do the same for the software, not just the hardware.
As not everyone can buy a more modern PC to afford W11, the penguin will probably soar at the end of the year. 🐧
@yossarianuk @bert_hubert #Linux is a sure way to boycott America's biggest companies but that being said, you can go further like for example #LinuxMint and #ZorinOS are based in Ireland, #Manjaro and #Mageia are based in France, #Alpine is from Norway, #EndeavourOS and #NixOS is from the Netherlands and so on.
You can also choose a Distro if you are against discrimination like Debian or go all in with open source code like OpenMandriva. Whatever you choose, you can choose it with Linux.

Présentement, les OS que j'utilise sont:
Linux Mint
Nobara (en dual boot EFI avec Mint)
EndeavorOS Xfce sur un vieux portable mauve de 14 ans
Dietpi sur un Radxa Rockpi 4se
PoP OS sur un Thinkpad X1 carbon de quelques années (j'ai hâte d'essayer Cosmic mais si c'est bof, je vais le changer pour Endeavor OS KDE 💜
@nixCraft I recently been able to save one 10th + one 7th X1 carbon that was about to be decommissioned. The Dell website advertises the 10th as Fedora and Ubuntu compatible but the Bios only shows a Windows boot manager.
I tried a few different Distros other than those advertised and so far, I was able to install Manjaro XFCE (KDE wouldn't install) and PopOS based on Ubuntu. I will try to give another crack with EndeavorOS.
the old non soldered ThinkPad are better but hey, those were free.😁

Hello, my friends. I have a different request for aid. I have a trans friend who has just escaped the US, but she couldn't bring any of her stuff along, and she doesn't have anywhere to live.
She's in the region of Quebec City, so any resources we can find to help her would be valuable. Right now she's crashing temporarily with someone, but that can't last. She's waiting on a place in a shelter, but that will only last 3 months when it happens, and may be months yet.
So I'm looking for anyone who knows someone in the region who might be able to help, who has a room to spare while she gets on her feet. I can vouch for her, she's trustworthy and helpful, easy to get along with. I've known her two years. She needs to stay in the region if she's going to be in Canada, because her children live there (with her ex).
There's no money request on this one, just looking for help finding a place she can stay while she finds work and gets settled again.
