This ring billed gull (Larus delawarensis) passed me by at the beach at Gulfport, Mississippi on the Gulf of Mexico.

"Familiar acrobats of the air, Ring-billed Gulls nimbly pluck tossed tidbits from on high. Comfortable around humans, they frequent parking lots, garbage dumps, beaches, and fields, sometimes by the hundreds. These are the gulls you're most likely to see far away from coastal areas—in fact, most Ring-billed Gulls nest in the interior of the continent, near freshwater. I have zero sympathy for any country lamenting "population decline." Population decline is not a real thing.

"Replacement rate" is not a real thing either.

Every country on earth with a shrinking population, could solve all of their population shaping problems with immigration.

There is no shortage of people that want to be citizens of your country. There's only racism and xenophobia.
