This is a screenshot out of Blender. The model is a cat's silhouette with a small add-on, to clamp it to a laptops screen. The can looks, like it is laying on something (hopefully it will look like it rests on the screen, when printed) and one of its paws and its tail hang down.

Everyone who uses #SketchUp knows about #FaceMe objects, a near-zero poly 2D image that rotates to match your viewpoint. The drawbacks are that they are flat when you look from the top and distorted from other aerial views.

So, why not use 360 VR but in a hemispherical way, where an object is represented by a series of images based on the angle of the shot, and depending on the angle of view, the image changes to align to the nearest matching angle. Add alpha to cast shadows.
