First #screenshotsaturday of 2025! Heres some of the final state of my #7dfps project, succinctly named "I Was Kidnapped on My Way to Work by a Gun Violence Goddess and Now I Have to Train to Shoot the Demon King??!!", or GVG: Prelude for short 😂

Still some balancing to do, but it's basically ready to upload to itch. I'm not 100% happy with _everything_ about the final product, but I'm happy with where it is after around a month of work!

Pushed out a pair of little hotfixes that address the game date not being reset when starting new game, and skin colour not being applied correctly when loading a save. Previous post has been updated with full changelogs

I just shipped some updated post-jam builds of Wink Commander. Notable changes include more more gestures, more interactive stuff on the ship, items you can pick up and use as gestures when interacting with other pilots, character customisation, a bunch of polish, and two new music tracks courtesy of @blueberrysoft@gamemaking.social and Quenched Disorder! Late as usual to #screenshotsaturday, but at least its still Saturday this time! Added some effects, new health and ammo counter, new enemies, spawn indicators, and more! Hoping to have this done by the 31st for #7dfps, but the scope is feels neverending lol. Still have sounds and music to add, an actual menu, scoring, etc.

Been busy, but added melee enemies and some random polish. Got a few things to do before adding the final pass of polish/juice like sounds and better effects, and then my #7dfps entry will only be a little late lol. Next year maybe ill be more consistent with hitting #screenshotsaturday too! 😂

This week's prompt is "bee." I'm still poking around with my game, so I made some props, including a bee toy. The plan is to eventually allow players to pick these up, and mechanically, they'll act as additional gestures when held that NPCs can respond to

I just popped up a little post-jam patch for my game about winking at spaceships 🚀 👍

Changes include fixes for being able to escape the cockpit and the map screen not being centred on resolutions other than 1280x720. Routes that don't connect to a unvisited location are no longer shown on the map screen, so there's a little exploring to be done!

So it turns out that yesterday was my 7th day, so I just spent today setting up a store page/making application icons/fixing misc bugs instead of adding new stuff.

I think I might keep working on it a little, but it's exciting to put out public "end of jam builds."

Slow week, but here's the current progress on my #7dfps entry for #ScreenshotSaturday! Got endless rooms working with periodic reward rooms which was a big step, but I've still got a decent amount of work to do. We'll see what I can get done by Sunday, might make this a 14dfps 😅
