I've been painting sharper 90-degree corners lately, and focusing on them using my reading glasses.
Painting the X's is taking much more time than before, like twice as much. But I continue getting better at it, hundreds of them later lol.
Painting this is very much like sign painting.
There are tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of better sign painters out there than me, and all those calligraphy videos online, and the hyper-realistic painters, etc. I'm so jealous!
Notwithstanding, from a few short feet away, these corners are immaterial.
And! There are so many more hard edges to discover!! Just kinda thinking about it.
ATM, I'm using specialized brushes — red sable, flat, size 3-4 from two different product lines. They are both very decent, but they do fall apart.
IDK, it's just kinda interesting painting like this, for now.
I am using linseed oil to lubricate the application, it's very very robot painting this way. Yet, I'm certain (theorizing) it pertains very deeply to the human experience (if there is one, also hypothetical lol).
Paintings, in general, covertly get very deeply into peoples' minds at times, and it can rattle some bells in there, pull some levers and turn some dials, even — best case scenario.
Yes, more cowbell.
