There are rumours that trains might start running again today but, looking at my app, they are just that. DB Trains cancelled hours in advance, while other train run the same routes. It's hard to tell what is happening, and hardly worth trying.

That there are no plans for winter months in a northern city which has almost always experienced snow, is more than disappointing.

And for those required to go to work: it is a requirement, no matter the weather.

And here we go again. My train is delayed 15 minutes, exactly the same as on Tuesday, because the train isn't ready for use. Yesterday they managed it simply by not cleaning the carriages - it's a long time since I've been in a dirty train on its first tour of the day.

Resting on train seats. Unsure what makes the morning decide whether to actually sit down or just remain standing near the door for these few stations. The outside world but a blurred perception of fuzzy colours and lit windows of lower floor offices, shop fronts, hotel lounges and cars waiting on crossroads, visible enough to go noticed yet passed by too fast to be really seen. 7am and on and not there yet, pondering input and rough mental models and still waking up.
