I found that the icons for the #CookieAutoDelete extension lost the transparency and had white background #W10 #LinuxMint. Has this happened to anyone else?
I used Photoshop to add the transparency layer, but as I didn't like it, I changed the original icons to a more simple and intuitive a traffic light system.

@dbread Ja, der von dir zitierte Satz ist nur ein allgemeiner Rat, keine konkrete Maßnahmen-Empfehlung. Maßnahmen wären: #NoScript, #ublock_origin und #CookieAutoDelete
Noch besser: Wer sich den Luxus leistet, gar keine asoziale Plattform zu nutzen, kann die im Router und/oder #PiHole komplett sperren - so wie ich. 😎
Ich stelle mir die Frage ob die Erweiterung Cookie-Autodelete kurz CAD noch empfohlen werden kann. Die letzte Version ist von 08.12.2022, also über ein Jahr her und in dieser Zeit hat sich vieles weiterentwickelt. Stillstand bedeutet Tod. Die gemeldeten Fehlern auf der #GitHub Seite spiegeln den Zustand der SW wieder. Letztendlich bleibt in der Konsequenz nur die Löschung.
Was ist dann die Alternative?!

@bit101 #ublockorigin has filters that hide most of those - so website should treat it like you didn't click anything yest, just without eating up screen estate. Or, there is #CookieAutodelete firefox addon which removes cookies automatically (so impact of accepting them is much lower).
I'm taking the #CookieAutoDelete browser extension for a test run (available for all major browsers). It can be configured to remove all cookies, local storage/databases etc. when you close your browser and/or tab. Obviously I had to allow a handful of sites to be able to get work done, but knowing that it's only a handful brings a certain calm. Yeah, I'm #linux and #CalyxOS. #uBlock, #NoScript, #PrivacyBadger and #CookieAutoDelete.
NoScript is effective but probably the most intrusive to a smooth browser experience.
I don't use Facebook, so I've not had to look at Facebook Container.
It's unlikely to be a coincidence (thought it can't be ruled out, of course) so there's a leak somewhere.

Is uBlock effective with the Facebook Container? Is the container somehow duplicating the external Firefox environment into it?
Bad thing about my #CookieAutodelete settings...
I currently use Glitch Edition in #Mastodon. By default it doesn't show reply count and posts are collapsed. I have to change these manually. And every time I log out, purposely or accidentally, these settings are restored to default. Some time ago I gave up with collapsed posts, so I have only one thing to set every damn time :blobcat_grumpy:
How and why I set up my web browser to get the _worst_ possible ads
1. install #privacyBadger + #cookieAutoDelete
2. if the ads aren't showing up on a site, go to the Privacy Badger settings, yellow-list some domains until they do
(I can learn more about a site by looking at the grossest, scammiest ads that they're willing to serve than from either blocking entirely or letting them show the ads they think my station in life entitles me to)

Die würde ich auch nur zu gerne kennen... Irgendeine Alternative, die die ganzen Datenschutz-Addons (natürlich #uBlock, aber auch #Decentraleyes, die #SmartReferer, #CookieAutodelete, #FirstPartyIsolation, #CanvasBlocker, #httpseverywhere etc.) bietet, wäre natürlich hervorragend.
Und dabei sollte der Browser nicht auf Chrome/Chromium-Basis sein. Tja.
