Almost 2 months daily driving and it's been... ok. I'm really hoping for two specific fixes in the December release: login flow and panel behaviour (all of it).
Login flow is almost as bad as Ubuntu and needs love esp. with biometric support.
Panel behavior is the most frustrating aspect. They finally fixed the pixel gaps, but the icon scaling remains very frustrating even with Cosmic Tweaks, and lots of panel icon context menus still fail to work. The battery icon should not be the same size as a pinned app! Just now the panel completely freaked out and icons were being redrawn all over the place in a wild kind of dance.
I find I have to reboot my laptop a couple times a day to fix the app windows and panel behaviors. #linux
I don't know who uses Pop!OS and the Cosmic beta (24.0x), I really dislike ONE thing, namely: I miss ALT-~ (or SUPER-~) for switching between different windows of the same application (ALT or SUPER Tab is for switching between windows in chronological order or between the last two). I got totally used to it in the previous version of Pop and now it's gone! #keyboard #shortcuts #linux #cosmic (technically it works more or less the same in Gnome)
