I forgot to mention #explicitly, and #AI got confused about this earlier, I should learn, LOL, but I had #Gemini #create the #prompts for me to use from that #artist #signature and the prompts are being used in imagine.art.

Does anyone have any #Minecraft #Modpack recommendations that add to your own personal sandbox projects, rather than giving you a factory game-style pre-determined vertical progression?
I really enjoy the sandbox gameplay loop of vanilla Minecraft worlds where I keep on doing personal projects I come up with myself (build lighthouse, build railway network, build automatic mob farm, whatever). The vanilla game itself doesn't really give me 'tasks' other than, like, tool tiers I guess.
I feel like in contrast, most mods and modpacks have a pre-determined progression path that you have to follow. Ore doubling to tripling to quadrupling. Build machine X or you can't have machine Y. Grind for N resources to continue.
It really took away all the creative fun I had and turned the game into a checklist-like chore.
I'm looking for modpacks or mods that work similarly to redstone in terms of #GameDesign. Easy to acquire, non-gated, infinite applications to your own projects, just a tool in your sandbox.
Some mods are like that, such as #Create. Some mods usually labelled Vanilla+ also fit the bill. But I don't know of many modpacks that really add only this kind of content.
I don't just want decoration mods, QoL/performance mods and tweaks, I want content, tech and magic.
A good example is the old storage mod #ArcaneArchives. Just a simple, non-gated enhancement to storage.
Any recommendations?

Now in theory, nothing's stopping me from playing with mods as an expanded progression system to support my own creative goals, similar to vanilla #Minecraft. After all, the vanilla game's still there underneath all the mods, right?
There's an interesting #GameDesign observation here. Even though the vanilla game is objectively still there, the mere presence of mods changes the gameplay loop.
I don't think it's just me, because I'm clearly not alone with this.
Redstone is a good example for a horizontally-scaling game system. It's an easy-to-gather creative sandbox tool with infinite applications and combinations.
Check out all the insane in-depth and complex redstone builds in vanilla. There's tens of thousands of massive communities around it building computers, piston doors of all kinds, encryption mechanisms, elevators and so on.
Then try to look up redstone-related mods or modded content. You'd think there'd be so many, right? Just one unique functional redstone block or tool could make myriads of new insanely creative contraptions possible.
But there's hardly any modded content about being creative, about building and playing the game like a sandbox. Bluestone hasn't been a thing in 15 years. RedPower is no more. Noone makes complex modded piston doors.
Nobody uses modded animal behaviour in creative ways like vanilla animals' behaviour quirks are used. Nearly noone uses mods to build an ever growing town, they all have one 'base' that they use to progress toward endgame and win the modpack.
It's not an inherent issue of mods, but an issue of how the vast majority of mods and modpacks are designed. There's horizontally-scaling, sandbox-like mods too, like #Create. There used to be a lot more, like the original Piston Mod. There clearly is so much potential here.
But somehow, the creative sandbox players congregated in vanilla, while the vertical-progression focused factory-sim players that don't want to play creatively or build-focused rally around mods.
I wish more mods and modpacks were developed without a focus on vertical progression, and more on creatively usable tools for the sandbox. I wish there was a name for it so you could filter mods and modpacks with this in mind.
