"Join our bi-weekly Mending Workshop! This is a collaborative, regularly occurring event between the MLC Swap Shop and the #Makerspace. Bring your clothes in need of patches, adjustments, and repair! Bring any fiber projects that you’re working on to be in community while you knit, #crochet, or create! Or, just come in to hang out and learn a new skill :)
Each week we will have a new skill or theme around mending or #sustainability, often utilizing different technologies in the Makerspace. Our fibers area has 4 Singer sewing machines that will be open for use. The Makerspace will provide needles, thread, scrap fabric, and sewing tools for workshop participants.
This weeks theme is:

Have an item that you can’t bring yourself to get rid of, but it isn’t quite right? Come to the mending workshop and learn how to make it your own!"

The pattern is sold directly through the website of Needle and Skein, a Minnesota-based yarn store, and all proceeds from the pattern go to immigrant aid agencies.

Low stress project past two weeks has been a crocheted scarf. Using up wool from some previous hat and blanket projects.
Still going, really basic, but I like occupying my hands when I'm watching stuff on TV. Been rewatching Elementary a bit lately to chill out. Normally I'd knit, but my main knitting project at the moment is my first pair of socks, and I need to be in the right mood to work on that.
In 2025, I crocheted at least 4.3 km of yarn and completed:
-1 dragon egg dice bag
-1 shawl for my aunt
-1 baby blanket for expecting friends
-1 cardigan for me
-1 cowl for me
-1 toque for my kiddo
And started a bunch of WIPs I'm still trying to wrap up.
Here's to another year of fun and fibers!!
I'll be collecting my yarn labels this year as well to compare. You should do the same!

This time of year in my neck of the woods it is vital to keep my hands warm during #POTA #parksontheair #AmateurRadio #HamRadio CW #MorseCode activations. I completed 2 new pair of my FINGERS-Free crocheted gloves for that purpose. #crochet #crocheting
Made a scarf my friend commissioned. Suprised it didn't take me as long as I thought it would (and a lot less yarn).
I did it width ways, then made it longer.. as opposed to #crocheting the entire length and then making it thicker as it built up.
It is 6 inches across, so hopefully I made it pretty standard sized.
Hopefully they like it.
