PTs assess movement, prescribe tailored exercises, provide hands‑on care and education, and use modalities when needed to treat conditions like low back pain, neck/shoulder pain, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, post‑surgical rehab and chronic pain.
Do one practical thing today: try seated pelvic tilts — sit tall, feet flat; tuck pelvis to flatten low back for 3–5 sec, arch gently for 3–5 sec; repeat 8–12 times, stop if it hurts. Tag a PT, share a short recovery tip, or join a local screening.

Gemeinsam auf dem #praventionstag - Stadtratskollegin Sabine Slawik, Erwin Schletterer vom Brücke e.V. und ich vor der Messe #augsburg.
Es gab so viele spannende Vorträge, die ich besuchen konnte. Aber auch Messestände, an denen ich interessante Gespräche führen und neue Organisationen kennen lernen konnte.
Die Präventionslandschaft in Deutschland ist vielfältig, und das ist gut so. Denn lieber investieren wir früh und verhindern Probleme, bevor sie auftreten. Das ist gut für alle.
Was hilft Menschen und gibt ihnen Schutz, bei Gewalterfahrungen, bei Alkohol- und Drogensucht, Betrugsfällen oder bei Mediengewalt?
#Prävention ist in allen Kontexten wichtig, ob in Lernumgebungen von Kindern, im Strafvollzug oder im öffentlichen Raum. Ob mit Lehrmaterialien, mit Theaterstücken oder Plakatkampagnen.
Der deutsche Präventionstag hat diesmal in #augsburg stattgefunden.
Ich konnte dabeisein und habe ganz viele Anregungen für die kommunale Arbeit mitgenommen.
Wir waren diese Woche auf dem Deutschen Präventionstag in Augsburg!
Der DPT ist der weltweit größte Jahreskongress für Kriminalprävention und angrenzende Präventionsbereiche.
Es treffen sich Verantwortliche und Aktive aus Fachorganisationen, Gesundheitswesen, Justiz, Kinder und Jugendhilfe, Kirche, Kommunen, Medien, Politik, Polizei, Präventionsgremien, Schulen, Sport, Stiftungen, Verbänden, Wirtschaft und Wissenschaft.
Der Deutsche Präventionstag jährt sich dieses Jahr zum 30. Mal.

Unter dem Motto „#Sicherheit im Wandel“ begegneten sich in Cottbus rund 1.700 Menschen. Sie alle beschäftigen sich in Polizei, Ministerien oder auf kommunaler Ebene mit dem Thema #Kriminalprävention.
Entsprechend groß war das Interesse an unserem Programm "Kommune & Konflikt". Dieses stellten wir vor am gemeinsamen Stand mit dem K3B – Kompetenzzentrum Kommunale #Konfliktberatung des VfB Salzwedel.
