And now the compiler is shouting at me that it cannot find a reference on this line: `import androidx.datastore.preferences.core.edit`, and all I did was to update DataStore from 1.1.4 to 1.1.5.
Phew... going back down to 1.1.4 did help.
I cannot see anything in the release notes for 1.1.5 (or 1.1.4) that would explain that.

Poking around with Google #Cloud, for the first time since many years. As "new" user, I find the documentation extremely confusing. I hardly understand the impact of choosing Java 11 (as opposed to Java 8 and the old GAE services) and the difference between #Datastore in the Cloud Console vs #Firestore in Firebase (and how Cloud and Firebase relate and how the SDKs relate to each other and whether there is a difference).
